The Family Care Trust inaugural spooktacular Halloween Charity Pumpkin Ball held at Nailcote Hall on Saturday 31st October was a wonderful success.Snooker legend Willie Thorne compered the evening splendidly by even hilariously managing to get bidders bidding against themselves during the live auction.
We were very pleased to welcome our honoured guests of the evening the worshipful Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Mrs Glenis Slater and the mayor’s escort Mr Clive Slater and Mr Julian Knight MP for Solihull and his wife Phillippa Knight.
There was lots of goodwill and generosity swirling around the room, the evening was described by one person as having the ambience of a big family party with superb entertainment. We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks for all of the very generous support that has been provided for the event from sponsorship, wonderful donations, and volunteer support and of course by attendance at our Ball from so many very generous kind-hearted people and local businesses which has resulted in raising invaluable funds for the charity. Without all of the amazing support offered the Pumpkin Ball would not have been such a marvellous evening and such a great accomplishment.
As you can appreciate, funding for services such as ours is very limited and charitable donations and fundraising events are something that we continually rely on, so that we can carry on with our valuable work, raising funds for vulnerable people.
We genuinely believe that the work the Family Care Trust does is worthy of your generosity and we can assure you that your gesture of support will be put to very good use, so as to benefit the people whom use our services.
Thank you to everyone for your support!
