HSE Emergency First Aid at Work

Aims

After completing this course the learner will have the skills that may save the life of a casualty prior to the arrival of the emergency medical services.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session participants will be able to:

•    Manage an incident
•    Recognise and determine life threatening conditions
•    Treat an unconscious casualty
•    Perform CPR on an adult competently
•    Recognise and treat for shock
•    Have the knowledge to control bleeding
