Fun and games
When it comes to action there’s plenty to do at The Swallows Centre for those who like fun and games.

Diane Roberts (pictured right), its manager, added: “Each day we have about 15 clients  some like to sit, knit and chat, while others prefer to be more active.  We are here to give them a warm welcome, this is their time when they can relax and enjoy themselves among friends.”

The centre caters for people; aged 45 and upwards with learning difficulties living in the Shirley area of Solihull. They might need assistance with personal care tasks, be restless, or display aggressive attitude that requires supervision. The staff are all highly trained and have developed a rapport with their clients.

Bingo, skittles, darts and snooker are all available. A hairdresser comes in each week. Day trips included visits to Weston Super Mare, Bewdley Safari Park, garden centres, the park and pub lunches.
