respite care
We strive to make the Colebrook Centre a warm, vibrant place
with a home from home atmosphere.
The centre specialises in providing person centred 24 hour respite residential care for older people who have dementia, Alzheimer’s or other mental health problems.
Respite care provides social contact in a safe, supported environment for the service user and gives carers and relatives much needed reliable break opportunities. During the day, if they wish, guests can join in the supported onsite art, crafts, games and other activities we offer. We provide activities that are meaningful, stimulating and give the opportunity to learn new skills. The well tended garden area is a safe, pleasant outdoor environment for activities and relaxation. There are quiet areas that can be used for relaxation, reading, watching TV or having a private moment. Whatever the reason for respite service, please be sure that we provide the very best care in a homely, safe environment that treats every individual with dignity and respect.
Accommodation at the respite unit is co-ordinated through Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council Social Services (0121 704 8007), and requests for a reservation should be directed to them in the first instance.
