Centre of happiness

Happiness is usually what greets clients, visitors and staff alike at the Blanning Day Centre in Bentley Heath, Solihull.

Debbie Hogan (pictured left) has been the manager, for three years. She said: “It is a lovely working here, the atmosphere is great and the environment is so friendly.”

The centre has 24 clients each day. Lunch, cooked in its own kitchen usually consists of traditional meals and there are alternatives for different cultures and people with diabetes.

A hairdresser comes in three times a week, and help is on hand for clients who live on their own, but need bathing assistance. There are plenty of outings including shopping trips and pub lunches.
